Here's A Gorgeous Little Gypsy Camper Called Buddy...

The builder of this gorgeous little 70sq ft Gypsy camper who's name I don't know, so I'll call him Nomame, has been making furniture for over fifteen years, became unfulfilled, you know, how one does, needed to try his hand at something different and lo and behold created this wonderfully simple and very gorgeous little Gypsy camper called Buddy.
Buddy sits on the deck of a 1960 4x4 Dodge Power Wagon with just the right amount of faded paintwork and a few dings and dents.
Together with Miss Noname his fiancee, and inspired by their own wonderful effort they've put Buddy up for sale here and are looking forward to turning more simple dreams into reality.
They obviously know the saying, if you can dream it you can do it...

Take A Look At This Beautiful 1951 Federal Housetruck...

Have a look at this beautiful 1951 Federal Housetruck. It's old enough to qualify for special horseless carriage licence plates. I found it over at Tiny House Listings and you will too.
It's just sitting around waiting for a new owner and for the moment enjoying the lookers and the dreamers going oooh and aaah...

The Steely Cottage. It Has Everything That's Needed And Nothing That Isn't...

Everything that's needed and nothing that's not. That's the philosophical approach Ben Bartwell took when planning and building his tiny two hundred square foot house on a flatbed trailer.
There's more to know about The Steely Cottage here but it's a house designed and built for self sufficient living.
The little house is totally off grid and is complete with a composting toilet, a do-it-yourself pressurised water system and a vacuum tube solar water heater.
When the weather's cold there's a wood stove but evidently the house is naturally warm due to the passive solar build.
But the thing I like most is the recycled Corten sheets that've been used to clad the house and are already rusting to wonderful autumnal tones. They'll be pretty much maintenance free for ever.
And forever is quite a long time...

Gnomadik. It's A Very Cute And Innovative Micro Cottage On Wheels...

It's name is Gnomadik or if you don't get that, try Nomadic. It featured here recently on Tiny House Listings and I thought it worth sharing.
At the moment it's located in Courtenay in Canada's British Columbia but it could easily be moved almost anywhere.
I'm sorry there's no photos of the bedroom in the loft but I'm sure it follows the delightful theme.
I do like the materials used here, the corrugated iron and the wonderful warm wood.
Gnomadik is something a little different and at seventy five square feet it's certainly little.
Some simply big ideas in tiny living...

A Man Called Bear And His Gorgeous Little Gypsy Caravan...

What a little beauty.
I found it here on Tiny House Listings.
A gorgeous example of a simple little house
on wheels.
A six foot by twelve foot gypsy caravan built on an original 1905 McLaughlin undercarriage. Well before you say so what, this undercarriage was originally designed to carry glass milk bottles so the ride needed to be as smooth as a baby's bottom.
Woops, wrong simile there.
It's ideal for picnics in the woods but
Maurice 'Bear' Leger has unfortunately had to give up his gypsy lifestyle and life on the road so someone else will be able to enjoy this back-to-basics gypsy caravan. It's got ample storage and of course, a woodburning stove. No insulation though. And yes it's pulled by a couple of horses and Bear has travelled many thousands of miles in this manner.
Two horses pulling a gypsy caravan with a Bear on board. I like the concept... .

Jay Shafer's Original Tiny Tumbleweed Home On Wheels Is For Sale...

Well it was for sale yesterday.
Who knows, it may well be someone's new dream home by now as there were some keen lookers out there.
It's on Tiny House Listings.
You might like to have a look here.
It's Jay's EPU model, the very first and evidently this actual tiny home featured on Oprah and was admired by over two million viewers.
If you didn't know, Jay Shafer has been one of the prime movers and shakers, one of the originators of what is now, the huge tiny home movement.
It's all about living large in small spaces.
Avoiding a large and lengthy mortgage and living more self sufficiently.
Downsizing and living with less.
Happiness said Thoreau, is not what you have but what you can love living without...
