I Like What Pope Francis Says...

I like Pope Francis and I like what he says.
And no, with a name like Levy, I'm not Catholic.
Again recently, Pope Francis has been denouncing the global financial system, blasting The Cult Of Money that he says is tyrannising the poor and turning humans into expendable consumer goods.
In his first major speech on the subject, Pope Francis demanded that financial and political leaders reform the global financial systems to make it more ethical and concerned for the common good.
He said Money Has To Serve, Not To Rule. 
Of course, making these statements to the world's leaders and policians is like expecting the deaf to hear.
Perhaps this Pope of the people will sell off some of the Vatican's vast worldwide wealth and distribute it to the poor.
I could love the man for that...

A Fun And Novel Way To Make Hot Running Water...

You know what they say about necessity being the mother of invention.
Well some enterprising lateral thinking and creative soul came up with this novel way to make hot running water.
Not that the water's going to be very hot and nor is it going to run very fast but hey, it's one way to make a califont and get yourself into a bit of hot water...

Some Of The World's Oldest Motorhomes...

These tiny homes on wheels are some of the oldest around, from even further back than way back when, and that's a long long time ago.
The second one is reputedly the world's oldest but I'm sure someone will either prove me right or wrong.
I love them all but the top one is my favourtist.
And you're right, there's no such word...

You know you love to have a peek inside other people's refrigerators.
New York based photographer Stephanie de Rouge wanted to and has recently documented more than forty five folk and their refrigerators in her photo-series In Your Fridge. From Paris To New York.
You can see some more intimate secrets that some other fridges hold here.
Stephanie said she discovered some amazing worlds and I guess you would wouldn't you.
It would be a rather personal experience too, similar perhaps to looking through women's handbags, but that's another story.

Little Boxes. People In Mexico Live In Them...

Unbelievable but true.
These little boxes look more like kitset models and they all look the same. But I assure you. They're the real thing.
When photographer Oscar Ruiz was working as a helicopter pilot for a local Mexican radio station, he was required to fly around Mexico City chasing news stories.
He remembers flying up the highway that connects Mexico City with Puebla and this immense housing development
caught his attention.
It's the San Buenaventura Complex, located in Ixtapaluca on the eastern outskirts
of Mexico City.
