Camper Vans don't get much smaller or more cute than this copper clad over ply custom built 4WD Suzuki camper.
The delightfully quirky little 'bed on wheels' is another from the imaginative mind of Jay Nelson, featured here and seen on Lloyd's Blog recently.
Those who know Lloyd's books published by Shelter Publications on living in small spaces will be familiar with Jay's work and also Foster Huntington whose Suzuki SJ 410 the tiny structure sits on.
If you can dream it you can do it...

The Remarkably Simple Life Of Dan Price The Hobbit Man...
My friend Dan Price The Hobbit Man and the author of Moonlight Chronicles, recently sent me some new images of what he's been up to down on the two beautiful acre meadow where he's lived for the last twenty four years.
Dan featured here a while ago and more recently on The Shelter Blog.
He's been living on less than $5,000 a year for a long time now and remains an inspiration to all who wish to get the hell out of the rat race.
Dan does it differently to most but the important thing is that he does it his way.
The Hobbit Man is being true to himself...

For Some, Life Begins When They're A Golden Oldie...
Russian photojournalist Vladimir Yakovlev has traveled much of the world searching for older people who've discovered new found hobbies and activities for his Age of Happiness series.
Vladimir hopes to change people's usual perception of life after retirement and promote positive aging.
There's the eighty six year old competitive ice skater, our very own Lloyd Kahn who started skateboarding at sixty five, a seventy eight year old lady skydiver, the sixty one year old osteoporosis sufferer who pole dances, the ninety two year old ballet dancer, the seventy eight year old card magician, the eighty six year old gymnast, the seventy five year old aikido experts and the seventy three year old
flexible man.
They dreamt it and they're doing it...

Lloyd Kahn featured this simple and beautiful mobile art studio on The Shelter Blog recently.
Built by Bobby Heffelfinger in California's West Marin County on a Ford F.350 truck using mostly recycled materials, it's used by a landscape painter as a go almost anywhere studio.
It could be a wonderful little home on wheels...

A Disused 1926 Melbourne Streetcar Becomes A Wonderful Living Space...
Longing for their familiar Gypsy styled living, Peter and Donna Thomas found an old 1926 Melbourne Streetcar, cut it in half and took it home to California's Sierra Foothills.
Their story's here on The Shelter Blog.
From a dream to a reality with
a Streetcar named Desire perhaps...
