The Very First Apple Computer Came In A Hand-Crafted Wooden Case...

Way back in 1976 a couple of teenage geeks, both named Steve, created a computer company called Apple in Steve Job's parents garage in Los Altos California.
It was here that Steve Wozniak handcrafted the wooden cases that their first computers came in.
They sold their Apple One computer for $666.66, a number chosen by Steve Wozniak because
he liked repeating numbers...

  1. There is something so down to earth and wonderful about natural wood. Sure beats plastic which is only for convenience and durability. It doesn't take 50 years to grow plastic.

  4. Sorry, but Steve Wozniak was 25 – not a teenager. The Apple-1 was just a computer circuit board – no case and Wozniak never build a case.
