Memories Of Marilyn Monroe...

Hundreds of fans gathered recently at the Los Angeles cemetery where Norma Jean or Marilyn Monroe is buried.
The iconic sex symbol died fifty years ago on August the fifth.
Said one of the mourners, echoing the thoughts of most, 'There are many beautiful women and actresses out there today but none have
Marilyn's X factor.'
Marilyn's halter style dress she wore in the movie The Seven Year Itch in which she stood atop a subway grate and let the breeze of a passing train lift her skirt, sold at auction recently for over five point six million dollars.
Elton John paid a tribute with his ode to Marilyn and the beautifully penned words, 'Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did...'

  1. Just read an article about her yesterday - they are still debating if it was suicide or murder. Probably will be still wondering in another 50 years too. She was uncommonly beautiful, I think.

  2. Lovely photos, aren't they? My students recently imagined a dinner party from history. Across the board, gender, age and nationalities, Marilyn was a guest at their tables. Fourteen year old girls said she'd teach them to be a woman. Men just said she was so sexy. That's the lasting power of photographic imagery! Not one of them has even seen her movies!
