The Kiravan. When Too Much Is Never Enough...

Sixty something year old inventor and entrepreneur Bran Ferren has a young daughter Kira he thinks the world of and wants to
show it to her.
Young Kira thinks the amazing vehicle her imaginative father has spent four years creating and which has cost millions of dollars, could take her exploring on the moon.
She might be right and another planet could be just the place for the monstrosity.
For her father, too much is never enough and this, this ugly looking vehicle, sorry Bran, built on a Unimog chassis, has an excess of everything and will consume gallons of gas every time the key is turned.
There's more about it here.
Hopefully this isn't the shape of homes on wheels in the future. It's about as far removed from our natural environment as you could get...

The Tonke Classic Range Of Mobile Homes Is Something Simply Special...

You'll know that I'm not a big fan of production campers, RV's, mobile homes, motorhomes, call them what you will.
But I have to say that I really like what Tonke are doing. There, I've said it.
I guess they'll send me a free one now.
I've been going to feature them for a while and when I received their latest newsletter I knew the time had come, I couldn't wait any longer.
Apart from some really good design features, it's their use of warm wonderful wood that does it for me. It's simply superb.
I've featured the Tonke Classic/Fieldsleeper1 here but there's more in their range.
Have a look here. See if they do it for you...

The European Designed QuQuQ Conversion Kit Can Transform An Ordinary Van Into A Camper Van In A Moment...

QuQuQ. A damned funny name isn't it.
I don't even know how to say it.
Anyway, it's a basic box and a mattress and it fits into a range of van-type people movers and can convert it into a two person tiny house on wheels in a jiffy. Or a minute or two at least.
There's more about it here but for my money and much less of it, I'd sooner have the fun of making my own and giving it a name I can pronounce...

A Gorgeous Little Teardrop Style Rustic Camping Trailer...

I'm not sure of anything about this terrific little camping trailer except that it's very gorgeous.
I just love the rustic nature of this tiny home on wheels and the materials it's made from.
I'm not even sure that it's actually real
or if it and the car are just models.
I found it here and just had to share it with you...

Imagine Yourself Getting Away To A Rustic Little Ramshackle Retreat...

Imagine getting away from it all.
And imagine going where few go and many would like to.
Imagine waking in the morning and feeling like you're in heaven without dying to get there.
It's amazing what the imagination can conjure up but if you need any assistance, there's more of these gorgeous rustic little ramshackle and not so ramshackle retreats over at Cabin Porn...

Airstream Shows Off Its Latest Deluxe Land Yacht Concept...

This is Airstream's latest concept for the 'discerning' buyer. By discerning, do they mean the person who has everything and now wants something else. I don't know, but this is their latest offering for the Getaway From It All market who wants to have all the comforts of home with them wherever they go.
It's probable that not many of today's version of Eddie Bauer's original are likely to ever go near the great outdoors and that's a shame.
This very latest Airstream Land Yacht is indeed beautiful and so it should be.
It's been designed in partnership with Mauro Micheli, the long-time designer for Riva Yachts.
There's more about this lovely Airstream here.
While the Airstream has always been the classic caravan or trailer that others have tried to emulate, somehow the 'discerning' buyer is missing out on so much by insisting on hi tech this and hi tech that.
Remember when life was simple and with back to basics there was so much less to go wrong and break down.
And less to go wrong made whatever you wanted to do, so much more enjoyable.
And the simple life was better than good...

Now You Can Freedom Camp In The Middle Of The City...

Here's some good news if freedom camping in a car park in the middle of the city is your idea of a great time.
And why wouldn't you want to.
Imagine the fun of it!
Freedom camping in a Stealth Tent.
Getting away from all those trees and green pastures and the wet cold sea water and that yucky golden sand and the sunshine that's so so bad for you.
Think of the fun you'll have with the asphalt under your bum, the fumes from the vehicles going past, the likelyhood of being run over by a bus or having your head butted by a car
parking next to you.
And getting out every hour or so and feeding the meter. And the road rage!
The thought of it all makes you glad to be alive.
And at night there's free food overflowing from the rubbish bins all around you.
I'm off to get a Stealth Car Tent...

When You're Seriously Serious About All-Terrain Freedom Camping...

When you've made up your mind to leave home. When you're seriously serious about getting away from it all and partaking in some real
freedom camping.
When you want to leave the tarseal to the timorous and really get self sufficient, then you'll want an all-terrain motorhome.
On second thoughts, motorhome isn't quite the right turn of phrase but you know what I mean.
These machines will take you anywhere.
Should you want to go there. And back...
