Sonya Baumstein from Florida had to send out a distress call on June 13 and was rescued just a week after leaving a marina in Chosi, Japan, attempting to become the first woman to row solo across the Pacific.
She was trying to cross the 6,000k to San Francisco by September.
This lady is no stranger to adventure.
She trained for three years to row her little 23ft Icha all that way.
Prior to that, she'd kayaked from Washington State to Alaska and standup paddle-boarded across the 85k wide Bering Strait.
It was always a big ask Sonya and hopefully you'll succeed next time.
If you can dream it, you can do it...

Fishing. If Only It Was Really This Easy...
The Alaskan Brown Bear has Salmon fishing figured. From July to September they make their way to Brooks Falls on the river of the same name which runs through Alaska's Katmai National Park. Then as the spawning salmon negotiate the small easily jumped six feet high falls, the cunning bears are waiting to scoop them into their mouths with a skill developed over the years.
Others just seem to open their mouths and the fish jump right on in. Fast food to go.
There's more here.
If only fishing was really this easy...

Christopher McCandless And His Abandoned Magic Bus.The Film Into The Wild Has Been An Inspiration To Many And One Person In Particular...
Christopher 'Alexander Supertramp' McCandless. His 'Magic Bus' and 'Into The Wild'. The film that has inspired many and changed one young man's life in particular.
Young Chris McCandless wished to make a difference with his life.
He did. He's inspired thousands all over the world and in particular, down under in New Zealand, nineteen year old Brando Yelavich was inspired partly by his hero 'Supertramp' to walk the entire New Zealand Coastline.
He dreamed it and he did it as those of you who've been following him here will know.
The latest update on Wildboy Brando is here. And for a fuller insight into the inspirational young man Christopher McCandless, who we see in the first photo sitting outside his Magic Bus and who died from possibly eating poisonous wild berries, look here.
Here's to the Supertramps of the world...
