Trey Ratcliff Shoots New Zealand...

Trey Ratcliff, well known international photographer and very laidback gentleman who you may never have never heard of was in New Zealand recently.
'Sailing Away To Akaroa' was one of the beautiful images he made while visiting the little 'French Colonial' part of New Zealand's South Island.
You can see more fantastic images by this wonderful photographer here.

China Creates Amazing Art In The Mongolian Desert...

Mimicking the dunes of the Inner Mongolian Desert and inspired by the lavish architecture of Dubai, the city of Ordos has been built to reflect the new wealth of China.
Ordos boasts newly constructed housing and beautifully designed civic buildings such as this passive solar museum.
But a major problem is that the city remains virtually empty with people reluctant to move to this radically designed city.
There's more...

Ena. A Beautiful Old Bedford Housetruck...

They say that a thing of beauty is a joy forever.
To some, Ena will be such a beauty.
Kyere and Jay's gorgeous little 1951 Bedford housetruck that they've been lovingly restoring over the last five years, has been on the road for over sixty years.
And that's nearly forever.
Now it's time for Ena to go to a new home.
For some other folk to enjoy the beauty of this rare old Bedford and to discover the joys that are still out there on the road.
Ena's for sale on TradeMe.
You can see more details about her here...

Bruce The Nomad Is 81. He's An Inspirational Young Man...

Bruce is once again my neighbour for a time.
He and his mate Tom, a sixteen year old Rainbow Parakeet have been on the road for ten years in his nine metre bus Shiralee.
He's toured New Zealand's South Island four times but now he's usually in the north, kite fishing and making the most of his life.
And when the weather turns to custard, he's surfing the net and keeping in touch with friends on the laptop his daughters gave him for his eightieth birthday.
Do it before it's too late he says.
He's a great guy and a wonderful inspiration...

Who's The Richest...

The Forbes Rich List for 2012 is out
and once again my name has been omitted.
Last year they said it was an oversight.
In this world  there are 1,226 people deemed to be billionaires, because on paper at least, they've got truckloads of money.
I wonder how many of them have the time to stop doing what they're doing to safeguard their hoards and just sit and look at the sea to meditate on it's beauty.
Man is the richest when his pleasures
are the simplest...

Another Big Beautiful Housetruck From Robert Scott...

Back in January this year I featured one of Robert Scott's beautiful housetrucks or if you like, studiotrucks.
You can have a look at that here.
Now, here's another big and bold example of Robert's idea on living comfortably on wheels.
With an interior featuring plenty of wonderful wood, this spacious dwelling comes with large windows and again plenty of galvanised iron cladding.
These images were taken at Hollyburton Park in Australia where Robert and his family live.
Visit them here...
