It's been beautifully built from local natural materials and designed by Miller Architects.
Who'd care about the fish biting...

The Beautifully Decorated Mud Houses Of Tiebele Village in West Africa...

The Kassena people, living in the little circular village of Tiebele in West Africa's Burkino Faso build their little homes entirely of local materials, wood, earth, rocks and straw.
They are well known for their traditional Gourounsi architecture and the elaborately decorated walls of their homes, turning each dwelling into a piece of livable art.
Burkino Faso is possibly the poorest country in the world but its people are just so culturally rich and decorating their houses in this manner is part of their wonderful cultural legacy.
The beautiful artwork is done by the women and when completed the surface is coated with a natural varnish made from boiling pods of Nere, the African locust bean tree.
It's really worth clicking on here and finding out more about this beautiful culture...

Thailand's Beautiful Bamboo Playground For Children...

Using locally sourced building materials and local labour is the sustainable way for the now and the future if we're going to have one.
The Dutch company, 24H-Architcture, well known as an innovative and environmentally aware design organisation have built the most beautiful children's playground, actually more of an activity and learning center, as part of the Eco Villa at the Soneva in Thailand.
A canopy of bamboo shingles shelters the entire area containing a reading floor, art and music rooms and suspended playing pod.
There's a Cooking Cave with it's own vegetable garden to allow the children to harvest, prepare and cook their own food. Another inspiring example of creative thinking and the beauty of bamboo.
There's more to whet your appetite
here and here.
This playground will make most adults wish they were kids again...
