The Raiooo Is A Very Stylish And Practical Cargo Bike...

Don't you just love Cargo Bikes.
They're probably one of the handiest, most practical transporters ever invented and this one, the Raiooo, created by Portugal's Polytechnic of Viana Do Castelo is a beautiful example of good design, common sense and eco-awareness. The design team have acknowledged the usefulness of plywood and the wonderful qualities of cork and leather. And it's electric assist.

Beautiful Bicycles From The 2013 North American Handmade Bicycle Show

The 2013 North American Handmade Bicycle Show was held recently in Denver Colorado.
I didn't see anything radical or outside the square but there was some beautiful bicycles on display. Especially in wood.
There's a simply stunning bike made in Ash with Kevlar reinforcements and Walnut inserts by Conner Cycles.

Bicycles For Carrying Just About Everything...

These days many folk around the world are choosing cycling as the much greener option for travelling, for short or long distances,
for leisure or business.
These cargo bicycles, freight bicycles, carrier cycles or bakfietsen as they are known have been around for a long time but their designs have become much more user friendly,
their construction stronger
and their frames lighter.
It seems there's a bicycle for all occasions.
As I've said before, it's time someone designed a stylish and comfortable safety hat...
