The Beautiful And Innocent Face Of A Thirteen Year Old Suicide Bomber...

This is Zahra'u Babangida.
She's thirteen years old.
Her father gave her to Boko Haram extremists who strapped explosives to her body and threatened to bury her alive if she didn't detonate the bomb in the busy Kano marketplace they took her to.
This brave little girl refused to detonate the bomb and managed to get arrested by the local Nigerian police.
What sort of world are we living in...

  1. It doesn't seem to be the same world I grew up in. I don't like where it is heading.

  2. How wonderful that this brave young girl escaped. Not so the 10 year old who was forced to do the human bomb thing by the Boko Haram. I find it very hard to take the wise advice of Ghandi to try to go towards our enemies and understand their anxieties and mind set, and forgive and love them. How can we get inside the heads of these mindless killers who will willingly die to reach Paradise where they will have free access to many virgins. Here they are on Earth sending these beautiful virgins to their bloody deaths! I don't know the answer, but I'm sure violence breeds violence. Armed police in Austria are certainly upsetting the peace. The deployment of weapons under any guise is frightening. There has to be a peaceful way, and it has to begin in our individual hearts, somehow....Jennybee

    1. I agree there have always been extremists but this group takes it to a whole new level. Ultimately, evil is evil and apparently we are in a world where atrocities cannot have a judgement anymore for 'the worst humans can possibly do'.
