Poland's Crooked House...

Remember a post some days ago,
about the world's most unusual buildings?
This house was featured but without any description.
It's called 'Krzywy Domek' which means Crooked House and is a wonderfully unique shopping centre in Sopot, Poland.
It was designed in 2004 by the architectural firm Szotynscy and Zaleski.

It's Freaky But It's Fashion...

Some freaky fashions from the runways of the latest showings in Paris and Berlin at their respective 2012 Fashion Weeks.
These creations are by Belgian designer Martin Margiela and his latest fall-winter collection.
Maybe it's his Western idea of the Burqa...

Tiny Oldtime Rustic Road Dwellings...

This gorgeous little housetruck,
from sometime in the late 1930's or 40's is one of my most favouritist.
Favourtist is a new word.
Just imagine the simple pleasures you'd have with that beautiful little rustic home on wheels.
And the caravan.
Well, that's pretty cute too...

Terrafugia. The Flying Car...

This car does actually fly!
Six years after Terrafugia announced it would develop a 'roadable' airplane, their little aircraft has just completed it's first phase of flight testing in the skies above Northern New York State.
It featured here a couple of years ago in its developmental stage.
The designers report that the plane performed exceptionally well.
As a light aircraft, it's also designed to meet national highway traffic safety standards, simply by folding its wings...
It's evidently that easy.

The World's Biggest Treehouse...

It's the world's biggest treehouse,
it's also known as The Minister's Treehouse.
The huge structure in Crossville Tenessee just 'grew like Topsy' as the Minister, Horace Burgess kept on keeping on, during the 1990's through to 2004, building his house around a 12ft diameter old oak tree. It's over one hundred feet high and has over 10,000 square feet of floor space.

You Don't Need An Oven To Make Beautiful Bread...

Well perhaps that's not quite true
says Stu Silverstein, aka Breadhunter.
A Dutch oven will do just fine but you'll need to be vigilant, you could reduce your wonderful loaf to a cinder in no time.
Baking bread outdoors on an open fire is fun he says on his blog here, give it a try.
Deciding against lawschool and a career with the FBI, Stu got a life and a VW bus and went in search of real bread.
Not finding what he wanted, he returned
to Maine on the East Coast of the US and
started making his own.
