This Finger Food offering is similar
to Slow Food but only in that it's local.
At this precise moment and probably for a very limited time.
You might enjoy one or both of these little morsels as a light snack or deep fried perhaps as an entree with a salad on the side. And a glass of Pinot Gris.

When I was young, my family would go camping. At night my father would pan fry a tortilla style bread and set it out next to the fire to cool. The heat of the bread would make the misquitos and bugs think that it was a person instead and they would land on it to try and take a bite. As they stand on it the bread would cool and the oil would firm up around their feet... so when they would fly away they would leave their legs behind. My father thought they were tasty. ...ReplyDelete
