The Beautiful And Innocent Face Of A Thirteen Year Old Suicide Bomber...
This is Zahra'u Babangida.
She's thirteen years old.
Her father gave her to Boko Haram extremists who strapped explosives to her body and threatened to bury her alive if she didn't detonate the bomb in the busy Kano marketplace they took her to.
This brave little girl refused to detonate the bomb and managed to get arrested by the local Nigerian police.
What sort of world are we living in...

Have House Will Travel...
The simple answer to the age old location location location problem. Or any old problem really. Like horrible neighbours, the desire to move to sunnier climes, keeping up with the Jonses or just wanting to go on vacation and feeling the need to take everything with you.
Including the kitchen sink...

This Rock Shaped Sculpture In The Swiss Alps Is Really A Delightful Little Wooden Cabin...
Antoine is the main character of a novel
written by the renowned Swiss writer Charles Ferdinand Ramuz.
His novel Derborence describes the massive rockfall that covered the valley of Lizerne in 1714. Antoine survives seven weeks under the rocks before he manages to reach his village and reclaim his life.
Bureau A, a Swiss design studio named their little cabin project after Antoine.
It is habitable and functional with a fireplace, bed, table, stool and window and sits on the rock field. The interior wooden structure is covered with handformed concrete.
It may give the appearance of being real but like so many things these day, it isn't.
And when it's covered in snow and you're looking for shelter, how the hell do you find it...

The World's Most Famous Tortoise Is Stuffed...
No it doesn't mean that The Flying Tortoise
has had it's day and has gone to the great Bedford burial grounds in the sky.
It means that Lonesome George, the amazing hundred year old plus tortoise and the last of his Pinto Island species who died in June 2012 from natural causes, has now been 'stuffed' or if you prefer, preserved.
After being on show in New York's Natural History Museum George has now been flown to Quito in Ecuador where he will be on display.
There's a wonderful story of George's life, his girlfriend and his final journey here and here.
And by the way. Tortoises are Turtles that live exclusively on land...

The Unicat TerraCross Off Road Housetruck. If You Have A Spare Half A Million...
If you want to go almost anywhere in a housetruck and you have a spare $500,000 you might consider this Unicat TerraCross Off Roader that might, just take you there.
Or you just might save yourself a hell of a lot of money and find something with less of the more and still have some money over for living
when you get there.
But there's some very nice design features on this Unicat, some of which you may have seen before and if you want to see more,
have a look here.
I've seen one of these beasts get stuck on a loose gravel beach, the owner was lulled into a sense of false security and believed his vehicle could go anywhere.
It couldn't and a local contractor saved the day...
