The rough basic 'box like' structure was built deliberately in stark contrast to the simple and elegant Japanese interior that I lived in for six wonderful years prior to The Flying Tortoise.
The rich golden tones of the woodgrain were a source of much joy and inner peace as I went about the process or living in such a tiny space.
There was only one window so I would position the truck to take advantage of the view or the sunshine.
The philosophical idea in minimalist terms was that I could only look out of one window at a time so therefore I needed only one.
There was too, a skylight. There was never more than one flower in the vase.
It was a time of much happiness, reflection, meditation and personal growth...

The wood is beautiful. Wood soothes the soul.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful but where is all your stuff?
ReplyDeleteI was much more of a minimalist then Frann but everything I had, even my golf clubs were away, out of sight, out of mind. There is a toilet, shower and refrigerator plus other necessities. More on stuff I had and where it was stored another time...
ReplyDeleteLike that.
