Bill Hillmann, The Author Of Fiesta, How To Survive The Bulls Of Pamplona, Can't Have Read His Own Book...

It seems that Bill Hillmann from Chicago didn't take the time to actually read the book he co-authored titled Fiesta, How To Survive The Bulls Of Pamplona.
If he had, he may have not been gored in the thigh a couple of times in this year's event.
He wasn't the only casualty, the bulls managed to catch a number of the running scrambling and panicking thousands who took part and sent a few to the local hospital.
Despite heavy condemnation from animal rights groups, the Running of The Bulls Festival in San Fermin, Pamplona continues to be a symbol
of Spanish culture.
It was originally glorified in Ernest Hemingway's 1926 novel The Sun Also Rises.
I'd like to suggest an alternative to the
running of the bulls.
It involves politicians from all over the world being sent to Pamplona.
They are set free in groups of six and the crowd chases them. Should be a lot of fun.
Like the bulls, none of the politicians survive. The animal welfare lobby would be pleased
and the world would be a better place...

  3. I attended a Pamplona running in 1982, when I was also at the 82 world cup. A crazy time I hadn't slept for two days partying all night I watched and held the passports of my two Canadian mates who ran, luckily they were unharmed. I drove their rental car back to Barcelona on the Autopista for 1 hour at 160klms, before pulling off to sleep...and this is no Bull!
