Brandon Stanton's Wonderful Humans Of New York Blog...

I got my first glimpse into Humans Of New York on Lloyd's Blog the other day.
New York is a fantastic place and one of my favourites having been there a few times.
I just had to look to see if I recognised anyone.
Brandon Stanton began HONY back in the summer of 2010 as a result of an idea to construct a photographic census of the city's diverse and colourful inhabitants.
He set out to photograph ten thousand New Yorkers and plot their photos on a map of the city. The idea morphed into something different.
He began collecting little stories, quotes and began including them alongside the images.
Brandon's wonderful vibrant Humans Of New York Blog is the result.
It's a great blog. It's so, human...

Architecture student Hank Butitta wasn't too interested in school but when he got to the University of Life he started to excel.
Hank bought a bus and with the help of a few friends he's converted this old school bus into a very smart and well designed mobile home complete with a gymnasium.
You can see his Hank Bought A Bus blog here and there's more to see here too.
He deserves top marks...

Dede Suryana Tries Surfing Through Waves Of Trash Off The Coast Of Indonesia's Java...

What a load of rubbish!
Indonesia's most famous surfer, Dede Suryana, doesn't get any better breaks by being a local.
If he wants to play in Indonesia's wonderful surf he has to put up with indulging his pleasure in all this pollution.
It's not at all glamorous or fun even though the expert young surfer looks poised and balanced as truckloads of trash roll around him.
Surfing photographer Zak Noyle couldn't believe what he was seeing.
Food wrappers, shoes, bottles and soccer balls, anything you can imagine is there except the,
oh no there is a kitchen sink...

In Beijing All The Gossip's About Professor Lin And His Mountain He Built On Top Of An Apartment Building...

There's a lot of gossip going down in Beijing at the moment about the mad health-cure magnate and professor, Zhang Lin and the mountain he built on top of a twenty six story apartment building.
Obviously he knows someone who knows someone in the illegal planning department...
Yes, it's not what you know but who you know...
Oh look there, someone's put a mountain on top of that building...
Well I guess if the magnate couldn't go to the mountain, the mountain decided to come to the magnate...
I've never noticed it before, I suppose the smog's been hiding it...
I wouldn't know, last time I looked up in 1997,
a bird shat in my eye...
I think it's another case of someone making a mountain out of a molehill...
They're going to make him pull it down.
He won't have to pull it down, it'll fall down...

Worldwide, The Average Life Expectancy For Each Of Us Is 24,528 Days...

Worldwide, the average life expectancy for all people is 67.2 years. That's 24,528 days.
The average man will live for 65 years, 23,725 days and the average woman if there is such a person will live for 69.5 years, 25,367 days.
There is one cynical school of thought that believes women live longer than men because they don't have wives but I couldn't possibly comment on that theory.
There's some life expectancy statistics for all countries here. They make interesting reading.
The point is, how many days do we just exist and how many days do we actually live...

More Delightful Dwellings To Enjoy From Cabin Porn...

There's always a visual delight waiting when I pay a visit here to Cabin Porn and it's a pleasure to share these images with you.
You might consider living in tiny Coopered cabin to be a barrel of fun or perhaps a dwelling with a tilting roof is more your style.
Enjoy...
