  1. I bet they stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

  2. Maybe we could do one on our apartment building instead of the new roof which is going to be demanded in my lifetime. If only! It seems so foolish to have a huge empty roof space in the city centre which no one can even look at- except for workmen when it gets holes in it. How novel it would be to live in a logical society!

    1. Do your research Liz, present the apartment owners with a wonderful proposal.
The idea might grow on them...

  4. How do those fir trees thrive in such shallow soil? I thought they had long deep tap roots.

    2. That's amazing that trees can grow on a roof, what about the weight ? Lol. You could end up with big families of birds living on the roof

  5. I see that many are curious about green roofs. Having a green roof has many benefits. Being nature-friendly is a given. What's more, it balances the temperature in the house. It also provides ventilation and insulation at the same time. There are more good things about it; you just have to construct it appropriately. Thank you for sharing this, Keith! Francisco Close

  6. Just some truly magic places! So inspiring. We have been hard at working trying to get the perfect look for our home, to turn it into that dream I always wanted. After some hard work and a great company that handles roofing in Mililani, I think I am one major step closer to that goal
