Shoe technology's come a long way since the Greek messenger Hermes was seen running around in his winged sandals.
Now, French engineering and design student Luc Fusaro has created this 3D printed running shoe that can actually be worn and run in.
He says it conceivably could take up to 3.5 percent off a runners time.
Time will tell.
There's now 3D printed technology it seems to make everything and anything from cars to artificial hearts and lungs.
An amateur gunsmith calling himself 'Have Blue' has made a 3D printed gun that evidently fires real bullets and is therefore probably capable of killing real people.
The mind boggles. Well mine does.
Perhaps I'll replace it with a 3D printed version...

Wild Elephants Mourn The Death Of A Famed Elephant Whisperer...
When Lawrence Anthony died earlier this year, the two formally wild herds of elephants now resident of the huge game reserve at Thula Thula in South Africa's KwaZulu, took twelve hours to slowly make their way through the Zululand bush until they reached the Anthony compound, to pay their respects.
Lawrence Anthony, the conservationist, had saved their lives a few years earlier and now, for two days these beautiful beasts loitered to say goodbye to the man they loved.
How did they know he'd died?
Who knows but it seems they did.

Some Gorgeous Tiny Rustic Mansions...
I was checking out some Cabin Porn last night
as I often do.
The delights this site has to offer never fail
to excite a few erogenous zones.
Do have a look...

My Handmade Felted Footwarmers...
My friend Angela presented me with a pair of handmade felted footwarmers the other day.
I'd seen her knitting these strange shapes and had no idea each oddity would morph into fabulous felted slippers for winter
and the great indoors.
They're made by knitting special felting wool, the strange origami shapes sewn up at certain points becoming things to put your feet in. They are then put in hot water and agitated there for a time while the stiches relax and then they mat up again and become felted.
But you probably knew that.
A wonderful age-old traditional craft that I've just become familiar with...

The Fold-Up Guitar For Travellers...
For all you guitar players who usually cut your guitar in half when you go travelling, you'll be pleased to know that Voyage-Air have designed a line of travel guitars that fold
at the base of the neck.
The guitars fit into their own carry case.
Maybe the company's considering
a range of fold-up grand pianos for travellers...

Obesity. An Enormous Problem For The Western World...
Soda and other sugary drinks are directly linked to obesity, a major contributor to coronary heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, some cancers and a definite cause of psychosocial problems.
Each year the average American, British, Australian and New Zealanders have the dubious distinction of leading the world's developed countries in drinking gallons and gallons of the sugary rubbish.
All of it with little if any nutritional value.
Greedy supermarkets price healthy drinks like milk or water much higher than the popular and unhealthy soda drinks.
Stupid isn't it...

Now You Can Take A Tour Inside Antarctic Explorer Ernest Shackleton's 104 Year Old Survival Hut At the South Pole...
Now, thanks to the Google Street View team who has been systematically mapping imagery that allows us to access some of the world's most historic places, you can have this amazing visual experience.
The latest location takes us to the ends of the earth to look inside Shackleton's survival hut built in 1908 near the South Pole.
By taking several photos using fish eye lenses, the Google team was able to stitch together images to create one 360 degree experience.
Just to get in the mood, put on some thermals, waterproof boots, a warm jacket, don't forget a hat, some fingerless gloves, you have to control the mouse remember, and click on here.
Then scroll down the text and click on Shackleton's Hut. That will take you to the Google page, then use the directional icon at the top left of the photo to move around the hut.
When you're in there, don't touch anything and don't go wandering off outside alone.
See you when you get back...
