Salmon fishing made easy.
The Alaskan Brown Bear has Salmon fishing figured. From July to September they make their way to Brooks Falls on the river of the same name which runs through Alaska's Katmai National Park. Then as the spawning salmon negotiate the small easily jumped six feet high falls, the cunning bears are waiting to scoop them into their mouths with a skill developed over the years.
Others just seem to open their mouths and the fish jump right on in. Fast food to go.

of Eski Kermen.
Eski Kermen is a medieval town located just 6km from Mangupa, in the Bakhchisaray region in Crimea. The town is situated on one of the flat-topped mountains called mesa and is famous for its more than 300 caves. The caves were built in the 6th century and were used for human habitation because of the safety they provided and the shelter that they offered from the elements. Over centuries the dwellings grew and housed several hundreds of people at one time. Religious life was important to these people who built their churches in the caves.
The cave city was inhabited until the Mongols invaded the area in the 13th century.
Due to the mountainous terrain, the town was difficult to reach and was one of the last to succumb to the Mongol onslaught.
Today the caves of Eski Kermen are frequented by daytrippers and campers.

In Oklahoma In The Land Of The Free, Wearing A Hoodie Could Get You A $500 Fine...

Wearing a hoodie in Oklahoma just might get you a five hundred dollar fine. Just another example of the world going from mad to madder.
Oklahoma residents are concerned that a proposed bill will make wearing a hooded sweatshirt in public a criminal offense.
But it has nothing to do with Trayvon Martin.
You'll remember Trayvon Martin. He was the seventeen year old hoodie wearing African American kid who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in dubious circumstances
back in 2012.
The wearing of hoods and head coverings during the commission of a crime has been against state law since the 1920s, with the original intent of curbing violence perpetrated by the Ku Klux Klan but now the new law prevents an individual from intentionally concealing his or her identity in a public place by means of a robe, mask, or other disguise even if he or she were not involved in a crime.
The group above are protesting against stereotyping on the annual National Hoodie Day and asserting their individual rights to choose...

I really don't think they're listening Winnie and nor do they want to hear a thing you're saying. They're not prepared to walk the talk, certainly not while there's arms to manufacture and sell to every man and his dog, not while there's oil to fight wars over and certainly not until they've finished feathering their own nests thankyou very much. And the world's billion poorest who live on less than $1.25 a day aren't going to vote for them anyway...

Scientists have recently revealed what most of us have known for a long time.
That hugging is an imperative for keeping us well balanced and in good health.
The more we hug, the healthier we'll be.
A good hug can give us self esteem, boost oxytocin levels and help banish loneliness, depression, anxiety and stress.
Even the common cold which is sometimes likened to a little hurt can be made to disappear with a good hugging. The more we hug, the less we hurt. A longer hug will help lift serotonin levels, elevating mood and assisting to create happiness. Hugs strengthen the immune systems, can activate and balance the body's white cells. We all need many hugs a day.

flexible man.
They dreamt it and they're doing it...

This Amazing Lightweight Inexpensive Robust Bicycle Is Made Entirely From Cardboard...

Imagine a bicycle made completely from cardboard. That's what Israeli bicycle hobbiest Izhar Gafni did.
He imagined it, he planned it and then made it.
It's a bit like Japanese Origami says Izhar, folding the cardboard on itself both shapes it and strengthens it.
To such an extent it can support a 300 pound person and costs about $10 to make.
Izhar says his obsession with cardboard started when he read of a man creating a canoe out of the stuff. He immediately raced to his shed and started cutting and folding old cardboard boxes into bicycle shapes and it just went from there.
He resin coats all the parts to make the bike waterproof and durable but so far there's no idea on how long the bike will last.
It's got a patent pending though and should be on the streets soon at a price so cheap it won't be worth stealing one.
And it comes with a cardboard bike helmet too...
