It's called The Squish Studio.
It's stunningly simple and in a spectacular location.
Designed by the Bergen based Saunders Architecure and completed in 2011, this 322 square foot artists studio is located on Fogo Island, the largest of the offshore islands of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
The Studio is equipped with a composting toilet, a small kitchenette, a wood burning stove and solar panels provide the power.

Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNice landscape. Shame about the carbuncle. But mind you in NZ they'd build a totally inappropriate meg batch on a site like that and put private property sign's for miles around it. So as it goes not a bad little carbuncle after all.Shame it's got no wheels though.
DeleteI was reminded of Thoreau who wanted to "
ReplyDeleteto live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life"
simple is not less.
