This simple little dwelling at the seaside, known in New Zealand as a bach or a crib, is reminiscent of days gone by in many parts of this beautiful country. Nowdays in so many places, this idyllic little hideway would be bulldozed by a developer whose only thoughts are of turning a profit.
Fortunately in the Far North, it seems there are places where that sort of greed mentality will never prevail. I continue to hope.
