New Zealand's Far North is very laidback, the nearest set of traffic lights at least a hundred and fifty kilometres away in Whangarei. It's an area that because of lifestyle and the local's attitude is almost detached from the rest of the country.
Fortunately nobody's got 'a round tuit' and pulled down these delightful old iconic structures.
I hope they never do...

What are the white things behind the building in the middle picture? There is beauty in old structures.
