Amazing Aquaduct...

The incredible Magdeburg water bridge in Germany is at nearly a kilometre in length, the longest navigable aquaduct in the world.
Construction started in the 1930's but World War Two and then the division of Germany halted progress until work recommenced in !997.
It's been open since 2003.
Let's go sailing...

  1. In Sacramento, CA the Sacramento river goes to the Bay in San Francisco. The river is dredged for ocean going ships. It is very strange to be 80 miles from the ocean and see a huge ocean going ship on the horizon.
