School's out for these Alfriston College students for a few days as they cycle their way around the glorious Coromandel Peninsula as part of an assessment programme.
It's called 'authentic activity' and it's very character building as well as much fun.
Day one saw them pedal their way sixty two kilometres from Coromandel town to Port Jackson. Here they are just getting ready to leave there and cycle the wonderful coastal road to Fletcher Bay. Then over farmland and a magical bush track to the stunning Stony Bay.
After a night there, it's on to Waikawau and then back from whence they came.
An achievement to ride home about...
