Welcome To The World's Shortest Scheduled Commercial Airline Flight. Please Fasten Your Seatbelts For Takeoff. We Will Be Landing In 47 Seconds...

Welcome aboard ladies and gentlemen and thankyou for choosing to fly with Loganair. Please fasten your seatbelts. We are taking off now and will be landing in forty seven seconds.
A normal scenario when you're flying between Westray and Papa Westray in the Orknay Islands in Northern Scotland.
The world's shortest commercial airline flight covering 2.7 kilometres or 1.7 miles is scheduled to take two minutes but with a tail wind, it's almost over before it begins and certainly before the stewardess has time to offer refreshments.

  2. Gosh that could take away my fear of air travel totally - but I'd have to live there!

  3. I wonder how long before your flight you have to be at the airport and if you're allowed to take a bottle of water.

  5. I have flown both Coach and First Class, but Hawaiian is the only airline I would readily spring the extra money for the upgrade. In first class, included meals are an appetizer and main course, a special dessert that's different on every flight, and a snack prior to arrival. bangkok city hotel
