Goodbye Skyscrapers. Hello Earthscrapers...

I was over at http://laughingsquid.com and couldn't believe what I was seeing.
It took just a moment to realise what a brilliant concept the Earthscraper is.
The idea is an inverted pyramid with a central void to allow all habitual spaces to enjoy natural lighting and ventilation.
The massive hole or base would be covered by a huge glass floor that allows the life of the Earthscraper to blend with everything above ground.
This amazing design by BNKR Anquitectura is an architectural proposal that would be built beneath Mexico City's Zocaio Square and extend sixty five stories underground.
Talk about lateral thinking!
It's a concept to turn the world upside down.
Which might be a really good thing...

  3. Hey, that is deeper than a lot of water wells. Guess they gonna have to install some good pumps.
