A Swedish Company Implants Microchips In Their Staff So They Can Use The Photocopier...
A Swedish company in Stockholm is implanting microchips in the hands of their staff so they can use the office photocopier, open security doors and even pay for their lunches at the office cafe.
The future is now.
And yes it's scary Mr Toffler...
Really, is it any worse than your wallet cards screwing up the shortwave reception? Every corner of half the world has CCTV recording everything within range. SATELLITE spy cams capture images of all of us when outside of CCTV range. So what is another RFID chip added to the mix?
I actually live in a place with no CCTV cameras. Everything people agree to accept is another strike. But it forces the rest of us to move farther and farther away just to say no. Are you really so cynical to say so what? then you are the problem.
All I know is, if baabaa is the response (which it seems to be, with a caviler oh well attitude) I'll keep living in parts still not touched and keep screaming WAKE THE HELL UP to ear plugged masses. Because I still can.
Really? That's what you would do rather than activate yourself to fight against this loss of a basic freedom? Trust me, if that is so, you'll find that your job will be next and the next one you go to? They'll already have it.
Leaving is part of taking a stand. Refusing to cooperation with such plans and going elsewhere damages the company far more than staying and moàning about it! Losing skilled workers that you have to retrain is expensive.
"...you'll find that your job will be next and the next one you go to? They'll already have it."
That has proven true. In the US it's been commonplace for decades for employers to require prospective employees to submit to a urine test to prove they're not on drugs. This is about as gross a violation of personal privacy rights as mandatory chipping, and yet many of the big corporations do it. If you quit and move on to the next corporate employer as a form of protest, it's quite likely that they'll require it too. If you can make a living without such jobs, so much the better for you: but really this sort of thing must be stopped at the outset, before it becomes a common practice to which the great majority are compelled to submit.
I think I'll stick with my silkscreen equipment, thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt's starting, oh my!!!!! I will fight that sort of thing to the death.
ReplyDeleteIt started years ago DD and we're giving it a helping hand daily...
DeleteI heard that after having the implant every time they passed a tree or a fire hydrant there was a strong urge to pee .

DeleteAre we just a step away from Big Brother watching us or he's been watching us for a while now and we just didn't know it?
ReplyDeleteCL, he's been watching us for ages and nowdays we're all making it so much easier for him...
DeleteI think I would just look for another job!

DeleteSorry, Keith, this one struck a deep chord on many levels. Delete as you wish ;)
