The Spectacular Aussie Camel Train at Broome's Cable Beach is evidently included on the list of One Hundred Things To Do before the inevitable happens. The ideal time to take the train is at sunset when the tide from the Indian Ocean is out. There's more here.
Put it on your bucket list and before you kick it, go for a camel train ride.
See you at the station...

Irish Folk, Jazz, Ballads, Blues And Rock 'n Roll In The Sun With Raillery At Uretiti...
Life is great and sometimes my cup overfloweth.
I never know who my neighbours at the Uretiti Campground are going to be.
Lately it's been a movable feast of fascinating people and I woke the other morning to find a wonderful musical group called Raillery, which means 'good natured banter' parked next to me.
Check out their CD, Valley Of The Moon here.
It didn't take long before John and Tom on guitars, Ming on violin and Etha's fine voice were delighting the other campers with fine folk, jazz, blues, ballads rock 'n roll and infectious banter.
And yes I had a great time making music
in the sun with them too...

Why Would An Eighty Five Year Old Man Want To Cross The Atlantic In A Garden Shed On A Raft Made From Plastic Pipes...
Why would an eighty five year old want
to cross the Atlantic in a garden shed balanced on a raft made of plastic pipes with a wooden
telegraph pole as a mast.
Because it was on his bucket list. Because he hadn't done it before and because it was there to be done. What a silly question.
Anthony Smith collected three other pensioners, all of whom were dreamers and do'ers and after much preparations took off at around two knots. Two months later and seven hundred miles off course he took stock of the situation and with a new crew completed the voyage with a twenty three day leg a year later. There's more about the man and his dream here.
It's hoped the remarkable Anthony Smith
ticked off all the items on his bucket list.
He died aged eighty eight last year.
If you can dream it, you can do it...

This Little Pixie Cabin Might Just Be The Cutest Thing You Ever See On Two Wheels...
This little Pixie Cabin might just
be the cutest thing you ever see on two wheels.
It's featured on Tiny House Swoon .
Built in Surrey in the UK, mainly from leftover bits of timber, discarded pallets, broken boxes, logs, trees and old tools, it is in a word, simply gorgeous. Ok that's two words...

Like This Concept? Live. Die. Become A Tree...
You know how it is.
Ashes to Ashes. Dust to Dust.
It doesn't have to be like that.
It could be Ashes to Tree.
This isn't exactly reincarnation.
It's more like treeincarnation.
You live. You die. Then you become a tree. There's more about the fascinating concept
here and here.
I like it. Now what tree shall I be...

France Has A Great New Eco-Friendly Rooftop Law...
The French Parliament very recently passed
a new, very progressive, very commendable,
very green idea into law.
All new buildings built in any commercial zones anywhere in France must have their roofs either partially covered with plants or solar panels.
There's more about this initiative here.
This is one new common sense law that deserves accolades.
Vive la France...

Today's Ping Pong Tables Come In Crazy Shapes And Sizes...
Back in 1998 the Singapore artist Lee Wen took the traditional rectangular shaped table tennis table and created a fun doughnut table.
A section of it lifts so the players can access the center position. It's been turning heads recently at the Hong Kong Art Basel Festival.
But there are plenty of other shapes out there like the table in the shape of Easter Island, angled tables, a table representing a golf hole and others with very strange shapes and angles. It would be so easy to create your own table, just get a net, some balls and bats and enjoy the fun and exercise this wonderful game provides...
