Scotland's Bridge To Nowhere...

Scotland's bridge across Biels Waters goes nowhere so it's an ideal bridge to wander across
if the journey is more important
than the destination.
Biel Water is a small river running through the village of the same name to the south of Scotland's Dunbar. There's more about it here.
Taking photos of this little bridge over sometimes troubled waters is a favourite activity for tourists and locals. It could almost be Richard Bach's Bridge Across Forever...

Sarah And William Show Love Is Possible Without The Internet...

There's a Scottish tourist called Sarah
sitting on the grass at picturesque Picton,
New Zealand's inter-island ferry terminal
to the South Island.
She sees a man walking his dog and fancies him. The man, not the dog. Well maybe the dog too. So anyway, she writes a lovely note, an invite on a card, to meet her there on Tuesday.  Suddenly the whole world knows Sarah is looking for this guy and it only takes a nanosecond for him to be identified as William and informed he's the most desired man
on the planet.
And yes, they do meet on Tuesday
but will they fall in love and still be an item
by Wednesday.
For those watching this space.
An update Monday March 9.
Sarah and William have informed the media
that their relationship is all over.
And good on them, probably the only way the two will ever get some privacy. It's all got a bit out of control they said as they went off in different directions so they could meet up and who knows, perhaps travel the same path. Together...

Welcome To The World's Shortest Scheduled Commercial Airline Flight. Please Fasten Your Seatbelts For Takeoff. We Will Be Landing In 47 Seconds...

Welcome aboard ladies and gentlemen and thankyou for choosing to fly with Loganair. Please fasten your seatbelts. We are taking off now and will be landing in forty seven seconds.
A normal scenario when you're flying between Westray and Papa Westray in the Orknay Islands in Northern Scotland.
The world's shortest commercial airline flight covering 2.7 kilometres or 1.7 miles is scheduled to take two minutes but with a tail wind, it's almost over before it begins and certainly before the stewardess has time to offer refreshments.
There's more to know here...
