Abel Deandres. Argentina's Modern Day Che Guevara...

More of an apple picker than a revolutionary
but Abel on his 1988 Honda R600 bears more than a passing resemblance to the wonderful charismatic revolutionary Che Guevara, and when he turned up at The Department of Conservation's Uretiti campground the other day he could have been taken for Che's brother at least. Well, I liked to think so.
My new friend Abel from Argentina has some wonderful tales to tell, some similar to those of Che's in The Motorcycle Diaries and when he's finished his epic tour around the world
he'll have a lot more.
The last I saw of him he was heading off to Motueka near Nelson in New Zealand's
South Island to pick apples.
Latcho Drom Abel...

Gorgeous Tiny Rustic Dwellings And Shacks In New Zealand's South Island...

My friend Harvey Jones is still touring and probably will forever, New Zealand's South Island and posting wonderful images of the magnificent scenery and of course, gorgeous little shacks, cribs, baches, shacks, dwellings or cottages.
Call them whatever you wish but I'm sure you'll find them appealing.
They're enough to make many urban dwellers green with envy.
There's more here including images of the South Island's stunning scenery...

Once Upon A Time This Housebus Was Double The Fun...

Once upon a time a few years ago,
this wonderful double decker housebus
would have been double the fun for everybody.
My friend Harvey Jones, who's touring and freedom camping in New Zealand's South Island, where you can see, the scenery is magnificent, found this old beauty in a field at Waimangaroa.
Another grand old lady and a relic of this country's rich housebusing heritage.
At the end of her road...

Last Chance Harvey. Don't Miss Out. This Beautiful Old Bedford Could Be Yours...

My friend Harvey who's currently touring New Zealand's wonderful South Island with its magnificent scenery, emailed me to say he's thinking of trading in his late model Nissan motorhome for this beautiful old 1937 Bedford Housebus.
Naturally I gave him my unbiased, candid opinion and told him he was mad if he didn't.
You'd agree with me I'm sure.
What an opportunity I said. A once in a lifetime one I told him. Where would you find another old girl like that I continued, this ladys been around and can still turn heads.
I've been waiting to hear from him.
He usually takes my advice.
Last chance Harvey...
