Surf's up and so it appears is everything else.
Expect a kitchen sink to come in with the next wave. Surfing isn't like it used to be, especially in this remote bay in Indonesia's Java, where villagers, without any waste disposal infrastructure, get rid of their waste in the area's streams and rivers.
We have to stop rubbishing the world's waters...
My daughter Sha, who lives in Bali is working with a Japanese cwaste disposal company and the Indonesian Government to instal recycle machines to turn plastic waste into useable items. One machine, funded by business people, of which she is one, is already in operation on the Island of Gili Trawangan, situated between Bali and Lombok. She is also seeking funding to monitor the horses who draw all transport on that motor-less island.
