Did The Earth Move For You...
If you'd been as photographer Alexey Trofimov was at the frozen Lake Baikal in Siberia recently, then you'd have seen some rather spectacular earth shattering results at least.
Even if the earth didn't actually move for you...
When I was a kid and living up north, I used to love to be out on the frozen river. I can remember the noise that echoed off the hillsides as a big crack would shoot down the river. It would scare me to death, especially if I was walking across the river and was only half way. Should I run? If so, which way?
Amazing shots. Mr. Trofimov is a very impressive photographer - and also, it would appear, very brave.
Lake Baikal is a most important body of water, reputed to contain something like 25% of the world's fresh water. Now that glaciers and snow packs are melting down globally, I fancy it's even higher than that.
Perhaps he had his Lady-love with him!....Jennybee
