Plans of The House For Essex, a holiday house designed by British artist Grayson Perry and the London architect FAT for Alain de Botton's Living Architecture Project on the East Coast of England were first unveiled in 2012.
The scaffolding has recently come down and the wonderfully imaginative house clad with more than two thousand bespoke tiles and copper panels are now revealed.
The exterior of the house responds to the romantic landscape of the Stour Estuary in Essex and was inspired by the eccentric houses of England, fairy tales and pilgrimage chapels dotted across the land.
The interior of the house, due to be completed late this year will feature tapestries, mosaic floors and ornamental pots befitting this wonderful work of fantasy.
One that I'm sure we'll re-visit...
Fabulous!
