There's a marvellous little restaurant near Collingwood in the South Island's Golden Bay area called 'The Mussel Inn'.You can leave your mobile phone outside.

Good place for them, except it ruins the view of a perfectly beautiful dead tree trunk. At least it looks dead, like the phones.
