Dinner At The Hotel Splendid...

The Hotel Splendid is not your usual five star resort hotel with an international chef and a pool to soak up the sun by.
No, the Hotel Splendid is much superior to that.
It started life as a double decker bus plying its trade on the streets of  England's Nottingham until. Until Entrepreneur Les and the Very Gorgeous Dee purchased it sight unseen and had it shipped to New Zealand.
And now almost hidden from view in the little bohemian village of Haumoana in the Hawkes Bay it awaits a complete restoration but enjoys hosting the few guests that grace its unique and eclectic style.
Wonderful and amusing dinner guests included a man who's made a career out of making sure the correct number of lengths of spaghetti get put in a can, a woman who while wearing a red rose in her hair, sings Verdi's Requiem and drives a train through the Swiss Alps and another, a woman with a feverish fetish for wearing kitch footwear.
And the food? I'm glad you asked.
All five courses were just splendid...

Just For You Dog Lovers...

This is just for you dog lovers. I wouldn't have done this if you hadn't asked me to.
The Blocao Dog Carnival on Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach was held recently.
I couldn't make it this year as I was busy watching some paint dry but I got Christophe Simon, AFP, Getty Images, AP and Silvia Izquierdo to take the pictures...

This Cute Little URB-E Has Just Been Named The Best Personal Transportation At CES 2014...

And just in case you don't have an idea what CES is, it's the Consumer Electronics Show which was held recently in Las Vegas.
Well where else.
URB is sure to stand for Urban as in urban transporter and E stands for Electric but this cute little piece of carry on luggage is also said to be the world's most compact e-vehicle.
Perhaps it is. There's more about it here and here. It's got a twenty mile range on a single charge, a top speed of fifteen miles per hour and it folds small enough to fit next to you on a bus or train. Or even a Flying Tortoise...

Does Anyone Know The Whereabouts Of Bill Posters...

Does anyone know where Bill is?
I've known Bill for years. He's a wonderful man.
I'm convinced he's innocent.
If you see him, tell him to be careful.
If you're out there Bill and you read this, just know that there are millions of people who think you're a great guy...

This Beautiful Twenty Five Year Old Indian Woman Has Never Eaten Solid Food. She Lives Off Only Milk Tea And Water...

Beautiful twenty five year old Manju Dharra lives in the small town of Sonipat located near India's capital of New Delhi.
She suffers from Achalasia which causes the cardiac sphincter muscle to remain closed so food cannot pass into her stomach.
She has never eaten solid food and lives on a liquid diet of milk, tea, water and juice.
Surgery would be a solution to her problem but her family cannot afford such medical indulgences so they've made temporary arrangements to suit her needs.
Her parents bought her a cow which provides her with the four or five litres of milk she consumes each day.
She certainly looks healthy.
Perhaps not eating food could become a new diet fad for the western world...

Tim And Hannah's Tiny Mortgage Free Off Grid Cabin Deserves A Big Round Of Applause...

Tim and Hannah's tiny mortgage free off grid cabin with all its innovative, simple and easy to do ideas is deserving of a big round of applause. In fact I'm giving it a standing ovation.
As far as a back to basics tiny home is concerned this little handmade and beautifully rustic 196 square foot cabin in the woods would make even Thoreau proud.
The couple were fortunate enough to have twenty acres of land in California's beautiful Tahoe country and with no blueprints to constrict their imaginations they set about creating and building a space for simply living or should that be living simply.
They've been doing just that for the last couple of years and who knows, may very well keep on doing it forever...
