Freedom Camping as many thousands of New Zealanders and visitors to this beautiful country have known it, died yesterday amid much outpouring of grief and protests that fell on deaf ears.
It had been in robust health for many years and it was only the actions of this government that in effect brought about the demise of this much loved activity and now has put in place punitive measures with large fines ranging from $200 that will further boost the coffers of local and national government.
There will be much more dismay when the nation realises what this bunch of interfering bureaucrats have done to curb another of its freedoms.
I will not apologise or pretend to have anything less than total contempt, disgust and loathing for this current government and will do what I can to challenge it wherever and whenever I see the need.
It's time for the people of this country to evict any and all governments who pretend to have the interests of their people at heart when all they have is their own controlling agendas.
A wake will be held as from today attended by all freedom loving New Zealanders to mourn the loss of another of our fundamental rights.
Freedom Camping is dead.
Long live Freedom Camping!

ReplyDeleteDo you know the name on this dispicable piece of legislation? It seems to be reported in such a way that they can also get you on ignorance, since the reporter didn't even have the courtesy to name the legislation, so we can see what exactly it says.
ReplyDeleteAnother petition in the making???

You may need to cut and paste it.
